What Does God Want Out of Me in 2019? – 12/30/18 Bible Class

Teacher: Matt Burleson
We at the Orangeburg Church of Christ apologize that we have been slack in posting our lessons in recent weeks.  Between holiday travel, illness, and other unexpected happenings, things have gotten a little out of hand and we have gotten behind.  We bring this lesson, the last Bible Class lesson from 2018, in which Brother Matt Burleson encourages us for the new year.  Even though we are several weeks into the new year, this lesson could surely benefit us all.

The God Who is Faithful – Romans 4:18-21

Speaker: Justin P. Sivley
Psalm 146:6 declares that our God, in whom we put our trust, is a God who keeps faith forever.  He is a God who is always faithful and trustworthy.  His promises will never come up short.  Together, let’s study some of God’s promises, both conditional and unconditional, as well as some things that he didn’t promise.

Stand in God’s Grace: God’s Grace and Our Relationships (Part 1) – 1 Peter 2:12-3:7 – 12/12/18 Bible Class

Teacher: Justin P. Sivley
God’s grace changes who we are.  That what we saw in the first 35 or so verses of 1 Peter (from 1 Peter 1:1-2:11).  Since we have received his grace and have become his own special people, that not only changes the way that we live, but it changes the way we interact with others.  In the middle of 1 Peter (1 Peter 2:12-3:16), the apostle lays out some details regarding how we should relate to certain people in our lives.  We cover about two-thirds of those verses in this lesson, and will finish the thoughts in part 2.
