The Bread of Life – Part 2 (5/8/24 Bible Class)

This week we conclude our studies in John 5, making our way toward John chapter 6 and the first of Jesus important “I Am” statements. As opposition to Jesus grows, the Lord defends his work and ministry as that which is according to God’s will, and gives witnesses to his testimony.

A Meeting of Two Rabbis – Part 3 (4/3/24 Bible Class)

After explaining to Nicodemus why the Son of Man had come, the focus of John 3 shifts to the different ministries of Jesus and John the Baptist.  John rejoiced that the time had come for his ministry to fade away, and for that of the Christ to be exalted.  As we begin Chapter 4, we set the scene for an important meeting beside a well in Samaria.

Who is Jesus? Son of God, or Good Moral Teacher? – Romans 1:1-4 – 10/28/18 p.m. sermon

Speaker: Justin P. Sivley
“I am ready to accept that Jesus of Nazareth was a good moral teacher, but I cannot believe that he was the son of God.” How many times have Christians heard such a statement?  So, just who is Jesus?  It’s an important question.  As we study, we find out what the Bible teaches about this very question, and even find that there is a fundamental problem with the idea Jesus being either a good moral teacher or the Son of God.
