It’s Good to Be His Sheep – John 10:7-18 (5/7/23 p.m. devotional)

Among the “I am” statements from John’s gospel are two that are closely linked, where Jesus says, “I am the door of the sheep,” and “I am the good shepherd.”  As the door, he is the only way into the sheepfold (the church) and as the shepherd he leads and cares for the sheep. The sheep have to listen to his voice, and follow where he leads.
